It snowed over night and the park out the back of our place was a winter wonderland this morning. I don't mind winter so much any more. I enjoy all the seasons here in Canada -- each one has its own special charm.

Nice pictures, Juliana! Did you take them out of your window?
Unlike the native-born, I have no legitimate excuse for living in Canada, the land of unending winter. Must be a psychological disorder...
I actually like real winter a lot – beautiful. By that, I mean January and February. What I detest (at least for Montreal) is November and December, and then again March and a lot of April – cold, no leaves or flowers, but not much snow either. In Colorado, those months would be called the mud season, for me it is the “lets retire and become a snowbird fast” season. I’m from the middle Atlantic originally and what I miss most is having a real Spring – 2-3 months of successive flowering trees, bushes, whatever, with temperatures ranging from 10-25 degrees. Apparently in Canada you only got that in the Vancouver-Victoria area, where it rains incessantly. Ah well, at least I escaped from George Bush… Tom1
Hey Tom! The photos were taken out of my kitchen and bedroom windows this morning. I was amazed at the sight ... :)
Juliana, I love your blog. I have the most boring job, ever, and your musings really help pass the time. I, too, lived in PV before repatriating to the SF bay area, so I can relate to a lot of what you write. I also love the links to other blogs. You are such an entertainment resource. Keep it up! I love the bloggings.
