I've been reading other people's blogs lately and there's some really good stuff out there! One I've been following for some time is M-A's blog in Europe. It's very technically tight as she is a computer whiz. I might also have sent a few of you the link to Laurie's blog, which I think is absolutely hilarious. Today, I've just discovered another great blog written by an American "attorney" (I guess they're not called "lawyers" south of the border) who refers to herself as "R". Here is the link to R's blog. It seems that some of us are a little bit ashamed of our blogging so I've decided to come out of hiding again. Hopefully, it won't come back to bite me in the ass.
BTW, all these other bloggers have HUGE followings and people actually post comments on their blogs. So far, my most consistent commenter is my friend, "S" in the 'Peg. She and I have similar senses of humour as well as the same hair and skin and taste in television shows. I think the comments are cool on these other blogs. What do I have to do to get you all to comment? I guess I'll just have to blog more often, about stupid and/or funny things, and hope it fires you up enough to write a comment. Oh, and my brother has commented on my blog. Thanks BRO! Anyway, I'm now embracing my blog-nerdiness and am commenting frequently on other blogs. Maybe I can get them to read my blog too and we can all become one, big, happy blog family. It hasn't escaped my attention that all of these bloggers are intelligent, funny, articulate women.
Let me know what you think.

Hear, hear! Let's get our fingers out **** and start commenting. I'm sorry I haven't done so before, but that's just plain laziness, I'm afraid. When it comes to blogs with huge followings, I'm afraid my blog doesn't exactly belong to that category. My readers are friends, family and a few collegues, and my stats show from about 5 to 45 hits a day. However, after more than 2 years online, strangers are beginning to pop up, and Google helps in that respect.
Like you, I'd love a little more dialogue with those who actually visit now and then, so I agree that we should all comment a little more often. After all, that's what makes blogging even more fun.
And by the way: I'm really glad that you've been such a regular in that respect. And I promise to de-lurk whenever I pop by your place.
I'll check out the other blogs you mentioned and get to know the authors a little. But I'm not sure I'll start commenting right away. One can be a little shy when it comes to actually writing that first comment ... ;)
Oh, and by the way. The blogs that have a clear theme get the most comments. Messy, semi-personal, semi-interest based blogs like mine don't usually get the kinds of followings that pure tech, pure knitting, pure politics blogs do. That's just the way of the world, it seems. People want to know what they get or what exactly they are linking to. Not messy stuff like mine mixing photos from our summer vacation with webtech posts. LOL
Speaking of reading other blogs, at your recommendation I have recently (whilst home sick..sniff -waaaaa) been reading Crazy Aunt Purl and must say that I love it!! Her writing is addictive to read! Fantastic humorous writing of the angst of divorce and of dragging ones ass to work and of relationships and ocd and cats and wacko neighbors has been a real treat to uncover. You too have that writing quality that reads like a good book you can't put down. Its that telling of crazy stories in another's life that tell the reader the stories of their own life. Experiences through the eyes of others who you know are not totally insane reaffirms for ones own self that life is totally insane and we are all just along for the ride. When I started your Puerto Vallarta Blog I read it from start to finish and like a great book, I became anxious and annoyed awaiting the next entry - almost frantic when you didn't write for a few days at a time. Thanks for the great recommendation and for your own fantastic blogging. turns out I'm YOUR stalker...! And p.s. your hair is waaaaay nicer than mine!
I would definitely not say that I have a huge following, but thanks! Leaving comments for others is the best way to start getting comments, I think.
M-A ~ I'm honoured your dropped by and I love your vacation photos!!!
S ~ Sorry you were sick. Hope you (and your hair) are feeling better soon. xo
R ~ Thank you so much for dropping in for a look-see!
